your key to the Space Age! Whether you are just getting into the hobby or have been in it all your life, Semroc offers something for everyone.

Thousands of model rocket enthusiasts have flown kits and engines from Semroc since 1968. We look forward to flying with you.

Deci-Scale™ Kits...

We have just released our first two Deci-Scale™ kits. Many of the most famous sounding rockets from the early days are perfect for 1/10 scale models. The first two are the IQSY Tomahawk™ and Iris™. The Deci-Scale™ kits are intended to be fun to build, providing the beginning average modeler with all the parts needed to build a reasonably close scale model. An advanced scale modeler will find the included parts are very close to the exact scale that are needed for much closer models. The Deci-scale™ line was inspired by G. Harry Stine who said, “the best beginner’s scale model I’ve ever found is the Thiokol-NASA I.Q.S.Y Tomahawk.” He designed a 1/10 scale model for Centuri Engineering Company that was very popular and sold for many years.

More Thunder-kits...

We just released two more in the Thunder series. The ThunderBee has been popular over the years, so we released the third and fifth in the series. The ThunderChief™ is based on the ST-8 series and flies with A-C engines. The ThunderStrike™ is based on the ST-13 series and flies on D-E engines. All models in the series have the same basic shape, but use increasingly more powerful engines.

Three popular Retro-Repro's from Centuri...

The last three have been in the works for over four years. The Centuri Marauder™ is a two-stage high performance payload rocket sold by Centuri from 1967 until 1971. The Swift Boost Glider™ is a pop-pod glider two-stage sold by Centuri from 1969 until 1974. The Stellar Spartan™ is based on a mass merchandise model that was produced by Centuri from 1975 until 1976.

LAUNCH Magazine commissioned Semroc to produce a kit based on their original logo. After months of discussions, we released the LAUNCH Missile™ kit. The first 300 kits were set aside for LAUNCH Magazine subscribers and the last of those first 300 kits have now been mailed. The LAUNCH Missile has now been released as a standard product and is available to the public. Mark, Deb, and all of us at Semroc thank you for the support that you have given LAUNCH Magazine over the years.

The Hydra One™ is a 70% downscale of the 1969 Hydra VII by Semroc. Using a single engine instead of seven, it is perfect for small fields and a lower budget. Laser cut fins and laser-cut tubes make it easy to build.

The Magnum Sprint™ and Magnum Hornet™ are retro-repros of the old Centuri kits that were designed for their Magnum-D engines. Both kits feature parachutes instead of streamers and both have the 18 mm adapter for smaller fields when a D engine is too much. The Magnum Sprint was only produced for a short time before the Centuri line was dropped by Estes in 1983, so it is a rare kit to find.

The Tau Zero™ has just been released. Designed by Jay Goemmer to add a futuristic touch to the Semroc offering, the Tau Zero has been a "most-requested" original design.

The SLS Brighton™ is a 175% upscale of the three engine cluster Ranger released during the Golden Age of rocketry. The original Ranger was designed by Vern Estes. The SLS Brighton has interchangeable mounts to accommodate many different combinations of engines.

The Hawk™boost glider is based on the AMROCS Hawk which was based on the Falcon. The Hawk is easy to assemble and trim and is a great first time glider model.

The Golden Scout™ is back. The Sky of Gold is over, but the demand for the Scout is still there! The price is reduced since there are no more certificates. Thanks to all that participated in the Sky of Gold in July.

The Geehod™ was released just before NARAM, but never was officially announced here. Continuing in the tradition of the Groonies™, the Geehod takes a jab at "Geehodders" everywhere that are badly in need of some humor. It features waterslide decals, precision laser-cut fins and balsa nose cones.

The Nighthawk™ xKit™is based on the Estes Catalog #K-34 pop-pod glider designed by Gene Street, based on his first patent of the pop-pod concept. Easy to build and trim, the Nighthawk is a smooth performer.

The Orbital Transport™ xKit™ is a faithful recreation of the earliest version from Estes Industries. It was designed by Wayne Kellner and was originally released in 1968 as Catalog #K-34. It was later reborn as a commemorative model with plastic nose cones. The model features balsa nose cones, laser-cut balsa fins, elastic shock cord, and improved shock cord mounting.

The xKits™ are here! Click here for more information.

The Mark by Semroc™ is a recreation of the earliest version of the Mark from Estes Industries in 1961. The original Mark was designed for Estes by G. Harry Stine while he was President of the NAR. It was Catalog #K-2. Our kit features a BT-30 body tube, balsa nose cone and balsa engine block. It includes a rubber shock cord and paper streamer like the original.

The Semroc V-2 is based on the Estes Catalog #K-22 semi-scale model of the German V-2. It includes both the scale and semi-scale laser-cut fins. This has been one of the most requested kits at Semroc.

The Space Plane™> is back at Semroc! This replaces the earlier cc: Space Plane with a model closer to the original incorporating a BT-30 airframe. The Space Plane was designed by John Shutz and Vern Estes and was released as Catalog #K-3 in 1961.

The X-Ray™ xKit™is based on an early clear payload model released in 1964 by Estes as Catalog #K-18.

The Penetrator™ xKit™ is a recreation of the first Flight Systems, Inc. (FSI) kit. It features pre-cut plywood fins, round elastic, and an engine mount to work with modern 18mm engines. It can be fired with 21mm engines, if you have them.

The Constellation™ xKit™ is a recreation of another Estes clear payload design. It featured distinctive teardrop fin tips and was released in 1968, originally as a free kit.

The SST Shuttle-1™ xKit™ is a re-release of an original Centuri Engineering design from 1971. It was their Catalog #KC-17 and was based on some early NASA shuttle designs. This model is similar to our cc: SST Shuttle-1™ that was discontinued last year.

Many more xKits™ are in the works!
